Rizin Trigger 2 is set for the Ecopa Arena on February 23rd. The full fight card for the event in Fukuroi was released today with a lightweight bout between Akira Okada and Takumi Suzuki among the new additions.

Okada (16-8-4) is riding a three fight winning streak that culminated with a submission win over fellow Pancrase veteran Daichi Abe at Rizin 31. The 34 year old appears to have turned his career around dramatically after suffering a four fight losing skid that lasted from 2018 to 2020.

Suzuki (10-6) won the Pancrase Neo Blood tournament as a bantamweight in 2016. In recent years he has been plying his trade with Deep and earned his Rizin debut after registering back to back wins in the second half of 2021.

As previously announced Rizin Trigger 2 will be headlined by Kleber Koike who faces Ulka Sasaki in a featherweight fight. The Brazilian is part of the Bonsai Jiu Jitsu team which had a stellar 2021 while his opponent is a UFC veteran who has spent the majority of his career competing as a bantamweight.

Rizin Trigger 1 took place in Kobe in December and was headlined by a featherweight fight between Kyohei Hagiwara stops Shoji Maruyama. The former won by way of second round stoppage.
