Two champions will collide at ONE Championship’s next Tokyo show. Aung La Nsang and Brandon Vera are set to battle on October 13th with the former’s light heavyweight title on the line.
ONE: ‘Greatness Unleashed’ will be the promotion’s second card in Tokyo. After La Nsang’s win last night Vera stepped inside the cage and the two verbally agreed to face off later this year.
ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong confirmed that the fight would take place on his promotion’s second card in Japan. Vera is the current heavyweight champion but has spent much of his career competing at 205lbs.
At ONE: ‘A New Era’ last night La Nsang beat Ken Hasegawa for the second time. He currently holds both the middleweight and light heavyweight titles.
Meanwhile Vera is the reigning heavyweight champion, a title he successfully defended at ONE: ‘Conquest of Champions’ last November.
La NSang, who has spent much of his career competing at welterweight, looked significantly smaller than Vera when the two men faced off inside the ONE Championship cage.
