Ray Borg will be in action at UAE Warriors 20 according to MMA Junkie. The 27 year old challenged for the UFC flyweight title in 2017 but was released by the promotion after withdrawing from a series of fights.
Borg (13-5) has been matched with Jesse Arnett (18-6) in a bantamweight bout that will take place at the Jiu Jitsu Arena. It will be the first time that the American has fought outside the UFC since 2014.
Borg fought 12 times for the UFC, winning seven of those fights with two of the losses coming by way of split decision. He has fought the likes of Demetrious Johnson, Jussier Formiga and Rogério Bontorin.
Arnett is coming off a split decision win over Elias Boudegzdame at UAE Warriors 15. The Canadian comes into this contest on a three fight winning streak.
Also on the UAE Warriors 20 card is Marcos Paulo Costa (3-0). The BJJ black belt tasted victory at UAE Warriors 7 and UAE Warriors 11 and the identity of his opponent for next month has not been announced.
