The all Brazilian bantamweight title fight has a new date. Bibiano Fernandes will put his belt on the line against compatriot John Lineker at ONE: ‘Bad Blood’ on February 11th.
The bout had originally been scheduled to take place at ONE: ‘X’ last month and there is definitely bad blood between the two men. Fernandes accuses his opponent of using PEDs while Lineker claimed the champion was running scared and refusing to sign the contract.
Fernandes (24-4) made his ONE Championship debut in 2012. He is a former Dream bantamweight Grand Prix winner and has dominated Asian MMA for over a decade.
Lineker (34-9) made his name in the UFC but repeatedly missed weight for his 125lbs fights. He has had no issues since signing for ONE Championship and moving up to bantamweight.
The event is set for the Singapore Indoor Stadium and there is likely to be a live audience.
