Carlo Bumina-ang just keeps on winning. The Filipino needed just 27 seconds to finish Ilyas Dursun at ONE Friday Fights 44 and make it three victories out of three in 2023.
The only thing missing for Bumina-ang was a contract offer or cash bonus from ONE Championship. Having won so emphatically the bantamweight might have felt that at least one of these was in the pipeline.
But there was still plenty to celebrate for the 29 year old. His opponent came into this contest with an identical 3-0 record but Bumina-ang wasted no time in handing him a first ever defeat.
The Filipino southpaw seized the centre of the ring immediately and threw a couple of body kicks. A right hook knocked Dursun down and the Turkish fighter made the mistake of bouncing straight back up.
Bumina-ang immediately pounced and landed an absolute hammer of a left hand. It knocked Dusrun out of the ring and through the ropes where the Turkish fighter lay unconscious for several seconds until the referee was able to rescue him.
With the win Bumina-ang improves to 3-0 and enhances his reputation even further after what has already been a very successful year. Dursun drops to 3-1 after a disastrous international debut.

Disappointing evening
A Filipino flyweight on the card endured a disappointing evening. Fritz Biagtan was also looking for his third win of the year at Lumpinee Stadium but came up short against Babar Ali.
Biagtan was dominating the stand up exchanges in the opening round. Ali looked in trouble but was able to secure a vital takedown and the Filipino spent the rest of the round looking for submissions from his back.
Ali took Biagtan down early in the second round. The momentum had shifted and having seized control of the fight the Afghan would not relinquish it.
It took him nearly a minute to take Biagtan down in the final round but once Ali got on top he stayed there. It meant all the good work the Filipino had done on his feet in the opening round was effectively for nothing.
Having dominated the final two rounds Ali was always going to take the decision win. He improves to 7-2 while Biagtan drops to 6-2.
