Later this month Danaa Batgerel will do battle with Chris Gutierrez at UFC Columbus. The Mongolian knows exactly what he aims to do on March 26th.
He took to Twitter to announce that he is going to ‘make a statement and put Mongolia on the MMA world map’:
I'm here to make a statement and put Mongolia 🇲🇳 on the MMA world map https://t.co/oXN74ZtT7v

Batgerel has already made several statements during the course of his UFC career. He has picked up two $50,000 USD performance bonuses and is currently riding a three fight winning streak with all three wins coming in the opening round.
In terms of putting Mongolia on the MMA map Jadambaa Narantungalag might already feel he has done that. The 42 year old won the ONE Championship featherweight title in 2014.
But Batgerel is the first Mongolian to crack America and he has done it in style, putting opponents away swiftly and brutally. A win at UFC Columbus would surely take the 32 year old within touching distance of the top 15 at 135lbs.
