Denice Zamboanga has an inspirational message for her team and sponsors. The Filipina atomweight, who endured some disappointment this year, thinks 2022 will be their year:

Zamboanga is based at Marrok Force MMA in Bangkok. The gym has a number of ONE Championship fighters on the roster including Supergirl and Wondergirl.
The Filipina thought she had pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the year after appearing to get the better of Seo Hee Ham in the atomweight Grand Prix quarter finals. But the judges saw it differently, awarding the Korean a split decision win in one of the most controversial decisions of the year.
It spoiled Zamboanga’s previously unblemished record. It also means that the offer of a title fight with Angela Lee is probably no longer on the table.
But she is hoping for better things in 2022. A rematch with Ham would be a good way to start, the two atomweights clearly have unfinished business.
