Denice Zamboanga has been soaking up the sun during her last few days in Boracay. The Filipina stunner spent a few days there with her new fiancee, fellow mixed martial artist Fritz Biagtan.

Zamboanga is based in Bangkok where it isn’t exactly cold. But it is a long way from the nearest beach and she made the most of her last few days in Boracay to work on her tan:

Back in Bangkok

Zamboanga is now back in Bangkok and training at Marrok Force MMA. She is looking to bounce back after suffering the first to defeats of her career.

The Filipina was promised a title shot but missed out when champion Angela Lee fell pregnant. Instead she was handed a spot in the atomweight Grand Prix and dropped a very debatable split decision to Seo Hee Ham.

The result was so controversial that matchmakers handed the Filipina an immediate rematch. But the outcome was he same with Ham winning by decision, albeit without any real debate over the judging.

Unorthodox celebration

She was in attendance at Bare Knuckle FC in Bangkok last weekend and described it as ‘an amazing event’. Unfortunately there is no public record of what she thought of Tai Emery’s celebration.

The Australian decided to bare her breasts to the Central World crowd after knocking out Rung-Arun Khunchai in the opening round. Hopefully Zamboanga doesn’t try to emulate this celebration after her next win in Singapore as the laws there are slightly stricter than Thailand.

She will be hoping to get a chance to fight in Manila for the first time in her ONE Championship career. Zamboanga signed for the promotion at the start of the pandemic and hasn’t had the opportunity to compete on a card in her homeland.

But there are two events coming up at the MOA Arena. ONE on Amazon Prime 5 and ONE 164 are both set to take place on December 4th and Zamboanga could well find herself competing on one of these cards.

She had a big fan following in the Philippines and there was outrage among fans there when she didn’t get the nod at the end of the first fight with Ham. She last fought in Manila on a URCC card in 2019 and might get the opportunity to fight in front of a much bigger audience at the MOA Arena later this year.
