Zamboanga’s loss to Ham was one of the most controversial and contentious moments of 2021. Almost everyone felt that the Filipina had won but two of the three judges scored it for the Korean.
Even Dan Hardy did a breakdown of the fight and explained why Zamboanga should have won it. A rematch was rumoured to be in the works but seems to be on the backburner for the time being.
Zamboanga was promised a shot at Angela Lee before the champion got pregnant, although this offer is unlikely to still be on the table. She is ranked #2 at atomweight and whatever 2022 brings it is sure to involve big fights for the 24 year old.
