Eduard Folayang wants to fight Conor McGregor. The Manila Bulletin asked several Filipino fighters which UFC star they would like to face and the former lightweight champion had no hesitation in naming the Irish star,
“I think style-wise I will have a great match with Conor (McGregor). He’s more of a striker, and for me, this will be an ideal clash. I want this to happen mainly because it will be a fascinating match between the two of us.”
Reigning ONE Championship strawweight champion Joshua Pacio would like to take on UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno. There would be a bit of a size difference but that wouldn’t stop the Filipino from taking the fight,
“It would be an honor to compete against him. I feel like if I can do it right, I will be stronger and more explosive as a flyweight,” he said.
While there is no possibility of any of these fights actually happening the prospect of Pacio moving up to flyweight is an interesting one. Finally Lito Adiwang was asked which UFC fighter he wanted to face and came up with an identical answer,
“At the end of the day, as a dreamer, a fighter, and a warrior, I want to test myself against him (Moreno) because he’s such an explosive fighter. For sure, this will be an exciting fight for the fans. On my end, that’s the kind of fighter I want to face, and that’s what I want my fans to see.”
