ONE: ‘Battleground’ Part II will be broadcast on August 13th and the full fight card is out. The previously recorded event at the Singapore Indoor Stadium features a flyweight fight between Eko Roni Saputra and Liu Peng Shuai.
Saputra (4-1) is an Indonesian wrestler who fights out of Evolve MMA in Singapore. He is riding a four fight winning streak with every victory coming courtesy of a first round stoppage.
Liu (6-6) faced Saputra’s Evolve MMA teammate Roshan Mainam last time out, dropping a decision to the Indian wrestler. He made his ONE Championship debut in 2016 but has only fought five times for the promotion.
In the lightweight division Mongolia’s Otgonbaatar Nergui (5-2-1) makes his promotional debut after tasting victory at OWS 8. Facing him will be Singapore’s Rahul Raju (7-6) who is a veteran of seven ONE Championship fights.
Also on the card is a heavyweight bout pitting Alain Ngalani (4-6-0-1) against promotional newcomer Thomas Narmo (4-0). The former has not won a fight since 201 while the latter is undefeated.
As previously announced Eduard Folayang returns at ONE: ‘Battleground’ Part II. The former lightweight champion will be looking to snap a three fight losing skid when he faces promotional newcomer Zhang Lipeng.
Former strawweight champion Alex Silva will also be on the card. The 37 year old is coming off back to back split decision defeats and has been matched with Miao Li Tao.
