Brian Ortega is injured and unable to compete at UFC Busan. In his place steps Frankie Edgar, who will take on Jung Chan Sung at the Sajik Arena on December 21st.

Edgar (22-7-1) is the former UFC lightweight champion. He has been fighting at featherweight for the last six years and is coming off a decision defeat to Max Holloway in a title fight.

Sung (15-5) will be fighting in his homeland for the first time since 2008. ‘The Korean Zombie’ has seen his career interrupted by military service and serious injury but is coming off a first round stoppage win against Renato Moicano at UFC Greenville.

Ortega took to Twitter to explain he had torn his ACL in training:

There are currently 13 fights on the UFC Busan card. It is stacked with Korean fighters as Choi Doo-Ho faces Charles Jourdain in the featherweight division and Kyung Ho Kang takes on Pingyuan Liu in a bantamweight bout.

This will be the promotion’s second event in Korea. In 2015 UFC Fight Night 79 took place in Seoul with Benson Henderson beating Jorge Masvidal in the main event.
