Frit Biagtan will be competing at ONE Friday Fights 38 this week. The Filipino has been matched with Deepak Bhardwaj in a flyweight fight at Lumpinee Stadium.
Biagtan (5-1) finished Nurmukhammad Adamkhonov with less than 20 seconds remaining in a fight he was probably losing at ONE Friday Fights 5 in February. He is currently engaged to top top atomweight contender Denice Zamboanga.
His father, Reysaldo Biagtan, recently called out Mark Sangiao. The two first fought in 2009 and he wanted a rematch but the Team Lakay coach wasn’t interested.
Instead he suggested that their sons face off instead. The Team Lakay founder wanted Jhanlo Sangiao to fight Fritz Biagtan with both men currently competing at bantamweight on cards promoted by ONE Championship.
At ONE Friday Fights 36 he will be taking on Bhardwaj (2-0). The Indian has been taking on low level opposition in his homeland and faced a huge step up here.

Best of the rest
The other MMA fight on the card also features a bantamweight who will be familiar to Filipino fans. Mark Abelardo will be looking for his second win of the year when he faces Georgy Shakhruramazanov.
Abelardo (21-10) is a veteran of 11 ONE Championship fights. He hails from New Zealand but has roots in the Philippines and fights out of the Fairtex Gym in Pattaya.
Abelardo is coming off an impressive win over Taron Grigoryan at ONE Friday Fights 15. He has been matched with Georgy Shakhruramazanov (13-1) who has won tournaments and titles in Russia.
