Matrix Fight Night 11 on March 26th doesn’t currently have a confirmed venue. But the full fight card is out with 12 bouts confirmed one of which will have the inaugural welterweight title on the line.

Matrix Fight Night is owned and operated by a famous Bollywood family and the decision makers include Kishu Shroff (pictured). One fighter who definitely won’t be appearing at MFN 11 is her boyfriend Abdul Azim Badakhshi.

He was involved in a brawl at MFN 9 and allegedly broke another fighter’s jaw. As a result all Afghans were banned from competing on the promotion’s cards.

International feel

But there will be an international feel to the MFN 11 card. Darkhanbek Ergeshev is set to take on Seth Rosario for the promotion’s inaugural welterweight title in the main event.

Ergeshev (9-2) will be making his promotional debut and comes into the contest on the back of an eight fight winning streak. Rosario (6-3) hails from Paraguay but has spent his entire career training and competing in India.

The co-main event features Ireland’s John Mitchell (5-1) who has been making a name for himself in the Middle East and India. Heh as been matched with local favourite Srikant Sekhar (7-6).

This will Sekhar’s first fight since the brawl at MFN 9. He reportedly enraged the Afghan’s in the crowd by taunting them and was chased from the venue by a mob led by Badakhshi.

His jaw was broken with footage filmed by the crowd appearing to show Badakhshi throwing the punch that did  the damage. That was in June and the Indian has obviously recovered although he faces a tricky looking fight for his comeback.
