Angel’s Fighting Championship (AFC) will host its final event of 2019, Angel’s Heroes 3, on December 28th at Angel’s Heroes Hall in Seoul. A clash between promising heavyweight prospects, Kim Myung Hwan and Kim Jung Kyun, will have main event duties.

In 2018 at AFC 8, Kim Myung Hwan (1-1) made his promotional debut against Kang Ji Won. Even though the Monster House product showed power in his hands, Kang ate shots and eventually took out Kim with ground and pound in the middle of the first round. The 22-year-old slugger will return after sitting out for 14 months.

Kim Jung Kyun (1-0), Team Korea One representative, steps in on the other side of the cage to test himself for a second time. In his first appearance at AFC 9, the career bodybuilder displayed devastating power by vanquishing Kim Chang Doo in 37 seconds with two solid punches.

Since then, he has been working tirelessly in the gym to make his return against higher competition.

With an impressive showing, one of them could fill a spot on the first major AFC card of 2020. The heavyweight division is always looking for a fresh face to build into a contender since the title is vacant.

The other matchup to keep an eye out for is between Lee Jun Oh (4-0) and Park Sang Hyun (4-1) in the featherweight division. Both men have four finishes on their records and this has the potential to be fight of the night.

Lee rides in with a six-fight winning streak going all the way to his amateur days. The Nova MMA fighter has finished his last three opponents with a variety of techniques that shows the diversity of his game.

Park, on the other hand, has only tasted defeat once in his pro career. In the rest of his fights, the 24-year-old has shown killer instinct by punishing the adversary with vicious striking combinations.
