A welterweight grudge match between Jason Ramesh Solomon and Srikant Sekhar will headline Matrix Fight Night 2 on June 29th in New Delhi.

Fans may remember Solomon (8-1) from the infamous video where he was knocked out in nine seconds by Amitesh Chaubey after making an exuberant entrance at SFL 43 in 2015. However he remains one of India’s top welterweights and has spent time training overseas.

After taking almost two years off following that loss he returned to Super Fight League in 2017 and submitted three opponents in 35 days. The following year he submitted Pawan Maan Singh but then suffered an injury in training and has not competed since.

It has been over a year since SFL last put on a card but Solomon remains stuck in an an exclusive contract with the promotion. He has come out publicly to express his frustration and was eventually given permission to appear at MFN 2.

On June 29th he has been matched with bitter rival Sekhar (4-4). These two have been going back and forth for the past few months trading insults and the latter is coming off an impressive submission win over ONE Championship veteran Rajinder Singh Meena at MFN 1.

MFN was founded by Bollywood siblings Tiger and Krishna Shroff this year.  The inaugural show took place in Mumbai in March.
