Joshua Pacio smashed Yosuke Saruta in their trilogy fight. The strawweight champion needed less than four minutes to put the Japanese challenger away once and for all.

Pacio has now stopped Saruta twice and there is unlikely to be a fourth fight after such an emphatic ending. The Team Lakay champion was at his aggressive best, finishing his Japanese foe with a series of right hands.

It was Pacio’s first fight in nearly two years and it was over within minutes. The Filipino showed no signs of ring rust as he went on the offensive and blew Saruta away with an onslaught of heavy punches.

It was a good night for Team Lakay. Earlier in the evening Pacio’s teammate Lito Adiwang beat Hexigetu by decision in another strawweight contest.
