A light heavyweight fight has been added to the UFC Fight Night card on August 1st. Da Un Jung will face Ed Herman at the as yet unnamed event, which is expected to take place in Las Vegas.
The matchup was confirmed by Jung’s coach, Dongjin Ha. The Korean Top Team head honcho shared a poster for the fight on Facebook earlier today.
Jung (13-2) has won two fights out of two for the promotion, finishing both opponents in impressive style. He is coming off a submission win over Mike Rodriguez at UFC Busan.
Herman (24-14-0-1) is a seasoned UFC veteran. The 39 year old has been in the roster for 14 years and is coming off back to back wins in 2019.
As previously announced Jun Yong Park will also be back in action on August 1st according to multiple reports. The Korean middleweight has been booked to face Trevin Giles.
The UFC Fight Night card does not yet have an official name or a venue. But five fights have been reported as booked and the event is likely to take place at the promotion’s APEX Center.
The card is set to be headlined by a bantamweight bout between former champion Holly Holm and Irene Aldana. It is likely to take place with no live audience due to the ongoing coronavirus, or Covid-19 pandemic.
