Three more matchups were added to the Bellator Japan card this week. Among them a catchweight contest that pits Kanna Asakura against Jayme Hinshaw.

Asakura (15-4) won the Rizin super atomweight Grand Prix. She came up short against Ayaka Hamasaki in a title fight at Rizin 14 but will be looking to make it back to back wins when she faces King of the Cage 105lbs champion Jayme Hinshaw (4-3) on December 29th.

Meanwhile Shoma Shibisai (5-2) faces Sergei Shemetov (9-6) in a heavyweight fight and reigning Deep 145lbs champion Takahiro Ashida has been matched with Ren Hiramoto in the only kickboxing bout on the card.

As previously announced Bellator Japan will be headlined by a heavyweight fight between Fedor Emelianenko and Quinton Jackson, two fighters who made their name competing in the country during the Pride era.

Benson Henderson and Michael Chandler will rematch in a 160lbs catchweight contest that co-headlines Bellator’s first event in Asia. It is set for Saitama Super Arena on December 29th.
