A bantamweight fight that has been talked about for quite some time is set for ONE: ‘Inside the Matrix’ Part III. Kevin Belingon faces John Lineker at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and the fight will be shown on a delayed broadcast on November 13th.
Lineker (32-9) was one of the top flyweights on the UFC roster before signing with ONE Championship last year. The Brazilian has beaten the likes of Ian McCall and John Dodson and is known for his aggressive and entertaining style.
The hard hitting Brazilian made his promotional debut at ONE: ‘Dawn of Valor’ last October. He beat Muin Gafurov by decison but has been on the sidelines ever since.
Belingon (20-7) lost two fights out of two in 2019 with both defeats coming at the hands of Bibiano Fernandes. He lost his bantamweight title after being disqualified in the first bout and lost the second by way of submission.
The Filipino is a veteran of 18 ONE Championship fights and has been vocal about his desire to fight Lineker. Belingon is one of only three fighters to ever hold the promotion’s bantamweight title.
