UFC light heavyweight Khalil Rountree and supermodel Mia Kang got married in Phuket! They both shared the photos of the private wedding on social media earlier today.
The pair appear to have been an item for a few years although the wedding has come completely out of the blue. Rountree is coming off a superb 2023 in which he won two fights out of two and collected $50,000 USD performance bonuses after both.
The 33 year old appears to have splashed some of the cash on the holiday of a lifetime. Visiting Phuket to tie the knot with his supermodel fiancee:

During the trip Rountree appears to have spent time training at the Yokkao Gym in Bangkok and Bang Tao Muay Thai in Phuket. The TUF 23 alumni currently sits at #8 in the rankings and has won five fights in a row.
Kang grew up in Hong Kong but has spent a lot of time in Thailand. She has been training in Muay Thai for several years and has competed in a few fights herself.
She was rumoured to be making her MMA debut and even signed with a management company but those plans appear to have fallen by the wayside.

She still appears to be training Muay Thai and Kang shared some video of herself hitting pads during a recent trip to Thailand. While martial arts is more of a hobby for the model and reality TV star it is a full time job for her husband.
This is not Rountree’s first trip to Thailand. In 2019 he trained at Tiger Muay Thai in preparation for UFC 257, the American would go on to beat Marcin Prachnio by decision.
The happy couple participated in all the traditional tourist activities like washing elephants and taking long boat trips. They also found time to get tie the knot and Rountree will be hoping that married life gives him the boost he needs to establish himself as a light heavyweight title contender in 2024.
