Eto (16-4-1) has competed on all four OWS events. The Japanese lightweight was beaten by Dae Song Park at the inaugural show but went on to win his next three fights for Rich Franklin’s promotion.
His next fight will be on a ONE Championship card and Eto will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Park and Mark Abelardo, OWS alumni who both went on to win their first fight on the main show.
Coincidentally Eto and Park are both coming off first round stoppage wins against the same opponent. The former submitted Trestle Tan in the opening round at OWS 4 while the latter claimed a decision win over the Filipino at ONE: ‘Pursuit of Power’.
Eto is a Deep veteran and has won nine out of his last 11 fights. ONE Championship’s top lightweights are all tied up with the ongoing Grand Prix while the title will be on the line when Eduard Folayang faces Shinya Aoki on March 31st.
However the Japanese fighter will be hoping to establish himself as a contender in one of ONE Championship’s deepest divisions and will now have the opportunity to fight in front of a much larger audience.
