Rizin Trigger 2 is set for the Ecopa Arena on February 23rd. The event in Fukuroi will be headlined by Kleber Koike Erbst although there is no information about who the featherweight will be fighting.

Erbst is a part of the Bonsai Jiu Jitsu team which had a stellar 2021. His teammate Roberto de Souza won and defended the Rizin lightweight title while he beat Mikuru Asakura in a clash between two of the top contenders in the featherweight division.

Erbst holds a record of 28-5-1 and has won three fights out of three for Rizin. He is a BJJ black belt and his last four fights have all ended in a submission win.

The Rizin Trigger series does not seem to have such big fights as the normal numbered events. So it is unlikely that Erbst will be handed a shot at featherweight champion Juntaro Ushiku in February.

But the Ecopa Arena does have a capacity of 10,000 so Rizin will probably need to put some of its stars on the card in order to fill the venue.

Rizin Trigger 1 took place in Kobe last month and was headlined by a featherweight fight between Kyohei Hagiwara stops Shoji Maruyama. The former won by way of second round stoppage.
