Korean bantamweight Jin Soo Son has been released by the UFC. The 26 year old took to Instagram to break the news:

Son went the distance in both his UFC fights but found himself on the wrong end of the scorecards on each occasion. He dropped decisions to both Petr Yan and Mario Bautista.

The Korean Zombie MMA prospect made his name fighting in Japan. In 2018 he claimed the Deep bantamweight belt only to relinquish the title and sign with the UFC a few months later.

Som holds a 9-4 record. However he has not tasted victory since 2018 and will be looking to get back to winning ways on the regional scene after that unsuccessful UFC stint.
