Kyoji Horiguchi is planning to get his Bellator bantamweight belt back. The Japanese star never lost it in the cage, he was forced to return the strap after suffering a serious knee injury.

Having signed an exclusive deal with Bellator he looks likely to be competing in the US for the foreseeable future. Horiguchi appears to be embracing the challenge:

He is fighting out of American Top Team and the poster shows him facing the Statue of Liberty. Bellator 272 is set for Connecticut but it represents the start of Horiguchi’s American adventure.

He challenges bantamweight champion Sergio Pettis for the Bellator bantamweight belt on December 3rd. The promotion recently signed a deal which will see its events broadcast by U-Next in Japan.
