A middleweight fight has been added to the ONE: ‘Heavy Hitters’ card. Leandro Ataides will face Yushin Okami at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on January 14th.
Ataides (11-5) will be looking for his first win since 2018. But the Brazilian’s losses have both come at the hands of middleweight royalty in Reinier de Ridder and Aung La Nsang.
Okami (37-14) is a UFC veteran who has been competing in ONE Championship’s welterweight division. He is coming off a split decision win over Agilan Thani but has not fought since 2019.
Also added to the card was a bantamweight bout pitting Shuya Kamikubo against Troy Worthen. Both men are wrestlers but the American is coming off back to back defeats while the Japanese fighter has won five ONE Championship fights out of five.
As previously announced Khabib Nurmagomedov will be cage side at ONE: ‘Heavy Hitters. The former UFC lightweight champion will be cornering Saygid Izagakhmaev who makes his promotional debut against James Nakashima.
In the main event Xiong Jing Nan will defend her strawweight title against Ayaka Miura. A light heavyweight kickboxing title fight between Roman Kryklia and Murat Aygun is also on the card.
The entire event will be broadcast live.
