Liam Harrison handed an ultimatum to the ONE Championship matchmakers. The Englishman says the only fighter he is willing to face is Seksan Or Kwanmuang.

If the matchup with Seksan does not materialize then the 38 year old will retire. He had been booked to face John Lineker in a Muay Thai fight at ONE Fight Night 18 next month but that obviously isn’t happening.

Best days

In a series of tweets Harrison made it clear he wasn’t interested in fighting either Jonathan Haggerty or Nico Carrillo. There has been a lot of speculation that he might eventually face the former in London.

Harrison is recovering from knee surgery and it sounds like the Englishman realizes his best days are behind him. He replied to a follower on Twitter who asked about the Haggerty fight,

“I’m 38 had four times more fights than those guys who are in their prime I can’t hang with them, simple as that really. Do I look like an idiot who’s gonna jump in with guys three times my size who are in their prime? No I do not sir.”

Same height

Seksan is the same height as Harrison and is just four years younger. He was a star on the stadium scene in Thailand long before his breakthrough year with ONE Championship.

Seksan is coming off a very tight split decision win over River Daz at ONE Friday Fights 46 last night. He looked nowhere near as impressive as Carrillo who knocked out Nong-O Gaiyanghadao in the second round.

Harrison was so impressed by the Scottish fighter that he tipped him to beat Haggerty writing that,

“No one is beating Nico at that weight, Haggerty will get splattered.”

Harrison wants to avoid a similar fate. He is not interested in testing himself against the younger generation of Muay Thai fighters but would be willing to return to take on fellow veteran Seksan.
