Lito Adiwang will finally make his long awaited comeback at ONE Friday Fights 34. The Filipino has recovered from knee surgery and will be taking on Adrian Mattheis at Lumpinee Stadium on September 19th.

Adiwang (13-5) suffered a serious knee injury at ONE: ‘X’ last year. He tore his ACL and was expected to spend a year on the sidelines but it has taken him longer than expected to recover.

The Filipino has represented Team Lakay throughout his career. But these days he is training in Bali after spending a few months in Phuket and it seems he will be doing his fight camp there.

Mattheis (11-7) is a veteran of 17 ONE Championship fights who has been on the roster since 2016. He is coming off an impressive first round knockout win over Zelangzhaxi at ONE Fight Night 7.

Top Thais

The card has also been bolstered by the addition of several other top Thai fighters. Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek-U-Thai won the prestigious Sports Writer’s ‘Fighter of the Year’ award in 2017.

Since then the 24 year old’s form has been more mixed. He faces Tyson Harrison in a bantamweight bout and will have to find a way to cope with an opponent who is five inches taller than him.

Also added to the card is Suakim PKSaenchaigym who is looking to relaunch his Muay Thai career having retired in 2017. He was stopped by Kirill Khomutov in his comeback bout at ONE Friday Fights 26 and has been matched with Saman Ashouri in a catchweight contest here.

Clash of champions

As previously announced Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9 will face off in a Muay Thai fight at ONE Friday Fights 34. The former will be putting his flyweight title on the line at Lumpinee Stadium.

Both men are champions with Rodtang currently holding the Muay Thai title and Superlek the kickboxing belt. The fight has been in the works for nearly a year and will be broadcast live on Channel 7 in Thailand.

It is bound to be a big draw for the Thai fans because Rodtang has won 14 fights out of 14 for ONE Championship, not including his mixed rules bout with Demetrious Johnson. But the promotion has never previously matched him with a Thai opponent.

Superlek has won seven fights in a row since dropping a contentious decision to Ilias Ennahachi in a flyweight kickboxing title fight. He comes into this contest on the back of an extremely impressive run of recent results.

Catchweight contest

Meanwhile Muangthai PKSaenchaigym will take on Yodlekpet Or Atchariya in a catchweight contest at ONE Friday Fights 34. They are both big names on the stadium scene in Thailand but have never crossed paths before.

Muangthai was stopped by Nico Carrillo at ONE Friday Fights 22. He was knocked down three times by the Scot in a loss that snapped his three fight winning streak.

Yodlekpet comes into the contest on a five fight winning steak. He has won four in a row on ONE Championship’s Friday night cards at Lumpinee Stadium and is a former Lumpinee and Rajadamnern champion.

Prajanchai PKSaenchaigym will be competing under kickboxing rules at ONE Friday Fights 34. He has been matched with Akram Hamidi at Lumpinee Stadium on September 19th.

Prajanchai was recently crowned as the promotion’s strawweight Muay Thai champion for the second time. He beat Sam-A Gaiyanghadao at ONE Friday Fights 22 to recapture the title he had lost to Joseph Lasiri.
