Emmanuel Pacquiao Jnr made his amateur boxing debut last weekend. The son of eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao got off to a winning start and his dad was proud.

The 21 year old is currently training at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles. Freddie Roach’s gym helped transform his father from being a relatively unknown champion in the lighter divisions to the best boxer on the planet.
Apparently he was reluctant to allow his son to take up the sweet science. But Emmanuel Jnr was adamant he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps, despite being born into some serious wealth.
His dad wasn’t at ringside to watch his son, who has had some unsanctioned boxing bouts in the Manila, win his US debut. But he has a pretty good excuse, Pacquiao is busy running to be the president of the Philippines!
