Mikuru Asakura and Yutaka Saito will face off at Rizin 25 with the inaugural featherweight title on the line. The event is set for Osaka on November 21st and there are currently nine fights on the card.

Asakura (13-1) has won seven fights out of seven for Rizin. His brother, Kai Asakura, holds the promotion’s bantamweight belt and he will be looking to follow in his footsteps by claiming the lightweight strap.

Saito (18-4-2) made his promotional debut at Rizin 23. He finished Kazumasa Majima with strikes in the second round and earned a title shot on the back of that performance.

In the bantamweight division Hiromasa Ougikubo (20-5-2) has been matched with Kenta Takizawa. The former was handed a 135lbs title shot at Rizin 23 but was stopped by Asakura in the opening round.

Former strawweight King of Pancrase Daichi Kitakata (20-9-1) returns after a year long absence. He is moving up to flyweight and faces Zst 125lbs champion Tatsuki Saomoto (15-2).
