Aya Murakami has withdrawn from the Deep-Jewels atomweight Grand Prix. She will be replaced by Mizuki Oshiro who faces Hikaru Aono in the semi final.
The semi finals and final of the tournament are set for Deep-Jewels 33 at the Korakuen Hall on June 20th. The event was originally set to take place on May 5th but was postponed due to Tokyo declaring a state of emergency.
Oshiro (2-3) had originally been scheduled to face Emi Tomimatsu in the reserve match. She had been eliminated from the tournament after losing to Si Woo Park in the quarter final at Deep-Jewels 32.
Aono (7-4) has a background in grappling and wrestling. She won the All Japan Amateur Shooto Championships as an amateur and beat Emi Sato by decision in the quarter finals.
In the other semi final Park (5-2) will be looking for her sixth straight win. She has been matched with Saori Oshima (4-2), an opponent the Korean beat by decision at Deep-Jewels 31.
As previously announced the event will be headlined by a strawweight title fight between champion Miki Motono and challenger Seika Izawa. In the flyweight division Yukari Nabe has been matched with Mika Arai.
The reshuffle leaves Emi Tomimatsu without an opponent in the reserve bout and it remains to be seen whether Ishiro will be replaced.
