Natalia Diachkova made it two first round stoppage wins in a row at Lumpinee Stadium last night. The Russian needed less than two minutes to finish Lena Nocker in their strawweight Muay Thai fight.
At ONE Friday Fights 13 she finished Dokmaipa Fairtex in the opening round. Diachkova repeated the trick against the Italian, in fact she did it 18 seconds quicker this time around.
The two went toe to toe right from the bell with the Russian throwing hard punches and push kicks but leaving herself very open to counters. Nocker did connect with a right hand of her own only to be push kicked clean off her feet.

Two knockdowns
The Russian started to mix in some kicks to the body and head to keep Nocker guessing. With Diachkova constantly attacking she had very little time to think about throwing combinations of her own.
Eventually Diachkova was able to overwhelm the Italian. She landed four or five hard right hands in a row to out Nocker down and she barely beat the count. The referee decided to give her the benefit of the doubt but there was to be no reprieve.
No sooner had the count finished and the fight recommenced than Diachokova ran across the ring and landed a one two. Nocker was down again but managed to beat the count for a second time.
Ten second was never going to be long enough for Nocker to recover and Diachokova attacked ruthlessly with right hands. This time the referee did not wait for a third knockdown, calling the contest off at the 1:58 mark.

Best of the rest
In MMA action Chen Rui (16-5) scored a contentious split decision win over Drex Zamboanga (14-6). He dropped the Filipino twice in the opening round, with a left hook to the liver and a knee to the midsection, and it probably made the difference.
