One of the best Muay Thai fighters of the century has signed on for ONE Super Series and will be competing in Kuala Lumpur next month. Three time ‘Fighter of the Year’ winner Panpayak Jitmuangnon is slated to face Rui Botelho at the Axiata Arena on December 7th.

ONE Championship has been slowly but surely singing up all the top talent in Thailand. Panpayak is a two division Lumpinee champion, a two division Rajadamnern champion and holds wins over the likes of Superlek Kiatmoo9 Sangmanee Sor Tienpo, Petutong Or Kwanmuang, Seksan Or Kwanmuang and Sam-A Gaiyanghadao.

Panpayak made history by becoming the first fighter to ever win the prestigious Sports Writers ‘Fighter of the Year’ award three times consecutively. It is regarded as the single most prestigious prize in the sport of Muay Thai making this a truly remarkable achievement.

At ONE: ‘Destiny of Champions’ he faces Botelho in a Muay Thai match. The Portugese fighter is coming off a highlight reel knockout loss when he was floored by a spinning back elbow from Yukinori Ogasawara earlier this year.

Panpayak will be one of three former Lumpinee champions on the ONE: ‘Destiny of Champions’ card. The event is headlined by Yodsaenklai Fairtex, who faces Luis Regis, while Petchmorrakot Wor Sangprapai is also scheduled to face Charlie Peters in Muay Thai action.
