The draw for the Deep-Jewels microweight Grand Prix was made yesterday. The quarter finals will take place at the Korakuen Hall on March 7th.
In the first round of the tournament Hikaru Aono (6-4) faces Emi Sato (4-5) , Sakura Mori (3-1) takes on Aya Murakami (1-0), Si Woo Park (4-2) goes up against Mizuki Oshiro (2-2) and Emi Tomimatsu (15-17) meets Saori Oshima (3-2).
As previously announced Miki Motono will be rematching Seika Izawa in the Deep-Jewels 32 main event. This time she will be putting her strawweight title on the line.
In the flyweight division Mikiko Shimizu (2-0-0) has been matched with Yukari Nabe (8-3-1). Meanwhile seasoned strawweight Yuko Oya (9-8) has been matched with newcomer Shoko Fujita.
Last year the promotion started a four woman microweight (98lbs) Grand Prix. At Deep-Jewels 28 Suwanan Boonsorn and Mizuki Furuse booked their spots in the final but the tournament was called off after the latter announced she was pregnant.
