Honorio Banario has a new opponent at Friday’s ONE: ‘Conquest of Champions‘ card. The Filipino will face Rahul Raju after Dae Sung Park’s last minute withdrawal.

Banario (13-7) has won five out of his last six fights and was scheduled to face Park (8-2) on Friday at the MOA Arena. The promotion announced today that the Korean had been removed from the card and replaced by Raju.

Raju (5-3) is coming off back to back stoppage wins but they both came at the hands of high level opponents. He was knocked out by Shannon Wiratchai in March and then submitted by Garry Tonon in July, with this bout also taking place in the MOA Arena.

Originally from India, Raju is based in Singapore and will be fighting in the Philippines for the fourth time. This bout is taking place at a catchweight of 174lbs; the lightweight limit at ONE Championship is normally 170lbs with fighters tested to ensure that they don’t dehydrate themselves.

The other change to the card was announced earlier this week. Alaverdi Ramazanov replaces Liam Harrison and will face Saemapetch Fairtex in a bantamweight Muay Thai match.
