Ray Borg has Covid-19 and won’t be fighting at UAE Warriors 24 according to multiple reports. The UFC veteran had been booked to challenge bantamweight champion Vinicius de Oliveira.
Replacing Borg will be Sylvester Chipfumbu (7-3). The newly crowned EFC bantamweight champion will be making his UAE Warriors debut.
De Oliveira (16-2) has won three fights out of three for the promotion. He won the title by beating Xavier Alaoui at UAE Warriors 18 in March.
In the bantamweight division Soo Young Yoo (7-1) has been matched with Sarvadzhon Khamidov (11-0). The Korean is on a seven fight winning streak while the man from Tajikstan will be hoping to catch the eye with the UFC in town that week.
In the lightweight division John Mitchell (3-0) has been matched with Konstantinos Ntelis (6-1). The event is set for the Jiu Jitsu Arena with UAE Warriors 23 taking place in the same venue the night before.
