Nostalgic MMA fans in Dubai are in for a treat tomorrow. Two heavyweights who made their pro debut at the start of the century will go head to head at Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

In the main event Pride veteran Sergey Kharitonov takes on UFC veteran Fábio Maldonado in a heavyweight clash between two highly experienced 41 year olds. The event will also feature some up and coming stars.

Kharitonov (32-9-0-2) won the Parus FC heavyweight title by beating Oli Thompson last year. In recent years he has been fighting for M-1 and Bellator but he made his name competing during the heyday of Pride.

Maldonado (25-15) fought 11 times for the UFC. He was last seen at UAE Warriors 13 last year, losing to Chi Lewis-Parry in a heavyweight title fight that lasted less than two minutes.

Featherweight prospect Alexander Kovalev (10-0) will also be on the card. The Belarusian is scheduled to fight Iranian journeyman Shahin Najafi (8-7).
