Ryo Okada will defend his bantamweight title next month. He has been matched with veteran Takafumi Otsaka at Shooto 0320 which is set for the Korakuen Hall on March 20th.
Okada (16-4-3) is currently the interim champion after stopping Kazuma Kuramoto at Shooto 0531. The 31 year old has not lost a fight since 2017.
Otsaka (28-17-1) is one of the most experienced fighters on the Shooto roster. He is coming off a win at Shooto 1123, with opponent Tatsuya Ando unable to continue after suffering a leg injury.
In the flyweight division undefeated young prospect Tatsuro Taira (7-0) has been matched with the experienced Yoshiro Maeda (38-18-3). There is an 18 year age gap between the two fighters.
There is also a bantamweight bout pitting Mamoru Uoi (22-9-5) against Joji Goto (11-4-1). The former has lost three in a row while the latter has won four out of his last five.
The other fight currently on the card is in the flyweight division. It pits Yoshiaki Kiryu (3-6-1 ) against Yuki Takahashi (1-0)
