Satoshi Ishii will be back in action at PFL 6 on August 8th. The Japanese veteran faces Jared Rosholt in the final bout of the heavyweight division’s ‘regular season’ at the Ocean Casino Resort.

Having won his first fight Ishii (22-8-1) is well positioned to make the playoffs in August. However the Japanese heavyweight can secure himself a better seeding with a win over the UFC veteran.

Rosholt (17-7) could be eliminated from the tournament if he doesn’t win. He is coming off a first round stoppage loss at the hands of Denis Goltsov at PFL 3, Ishii was somewhat fortunate to score a split decision win over Zeke Tuinei-Wily on the same card.

That win gives Ishii three points. Meanwhile Rosholt is stuck on zero but could overtake his opponent with a stoppage win, only eight of the 12 heavyweights will advance to the quarter final stage.

The main event pits the only two men in the heavyweight tournament to have taken maximum points from their opening fights together. Kelvin Tiller (11-2) faces Denis Goltsov (23-5) with both coming off stoppage wins at PFL 3.
