Satoshi Yamasu will make the first defence of his featherweight title at Deep 89 next month. The 28 year old faces Daiki Hata in Tokyo in May 12th.

Yamasu (10-4) will be looking for his eighth straight Deep win. He has completely turned his career round after losing four out of his first seven professional fights.

Hata (19-12-7) is a former Deep bantamweight champion. A seasoned veteran, he made his debut in 2004 and is coming off back to back wins heading into this title bout.

The co-main event features UFC veteran Takeya Mizugaki (22-13-2). He has been matched with Shoji Maruyama (16-11-1) who challenged unsuccessfully for the Deep featherweight title in 2013.

The card also features two fighters from Guam. Trevin Jones (11-6) faces Takafumi Otsuka (25-15-1) in a Bantamweight bout while featherweight Zach Benavente (1-0) faces Juntaro Ushiku (14-7-1
