A featherweight fight has been added to the Pancrase 312 card. Taichi Nakajima takes on promotional newcomer Boris Fedorov at Shinkiba Studio Coast on February 16th.

As usual the news broke via the Pancrase Twitter account:

Nakajima (13-11-1) made his Pancrase debut in 2011 and has fought 16 times for the promotion. He’s been in with some of the best fighters on the roster at 135 and l45lbs including Yuta Sato, Kyle Aguon, Issei Tamura, Victor Henry, Toshiaki Kitada, Motonobu Tezuka and Shoko Sato

The 30 year old is coming off a decision loss to Yuta Sato at Pancrase 307.  Nine of his last ten bouts for the promotion have gone the distance.

By contrast Fedorov (10-2) is making his Pancrase debut. The Russian is no stranger to fighting in Asia, he has spent a lot of time training at Tiger Muay Thai and has competed extensively in China.

The Russian has already been in with a long list of Asian opponents. He has beaten the likes of Chatmongkhon Simma, Bulan Hu, Honggang Yao, Se Young Kim and Tuerxun Jumabieke

As previously announced Yoshinori Horie will be fighting again on February 16th following a brief, unsuccessful stint with the UFC. He will face Yojiro Uchimura at Pancrase 312.

Meanwhile two welterweight veterans will face off when Yuki Kondo takes on Akihiro Murayama. Another interesting matchup in the strawweight division pits Ryo Hatta against Mijikai Nagai.

In the flyweight division Yusuke Ogikubo faces off against Satoru Enomoto. Meanwhile Hidekazu Fukushima has been matched with Korean Soo Young Yoo in a bantamweight bout.
