The Yokohama arena is set to host one of the kickboxing shows of the year on the November 24th.
The K-1 World Grand Prix show at Yokohama Arena will be headlined by Japanese superstar Takeru Segawa, who faces Yuta Murakoshi, and there is also an eight man, one day featherweight tournament.
This will be Takeru’s first fight since his second round destruction of Rajadamnern champion Yodkritsada Yutchonburi, on the K’Festa 2 show back in March. Yuta comes into the main event clash on the back of a decision win over Huo Xiaolong of China in June.
The co-main event features an international match between Japan based Brazilian Minoru Kimura and Italian fighter Jordan Valdinocci and in another interesting international match up Jordan Pikeur of the Netherlands faces Japanese up and comer Kasei Kondo.
There is also a heavyweight match up on the card when Roel Mannaart of the Netherlands defends his K-1 Heavyweight Championship against Australia’s Chris Bradford.
In the featherweight tournament Quarter final match ups Hirotaka Urabe faces Australia’s Brandon Spain, Riku Anpo faces Thailand’s Jaosuayai Ayotayafight gym, Yuki Egawa takes on Jorge Varela of Spain and Haruma Saikyo faces Thailand based French fighter Arthur Meyer.
With a total of 18 fights scheduled for the main card and five prelim matches and the possibility of extension rounds in each the fans will be sure to get their moneys worth, in what should be a thrilling night of fights.
