Last night Full Metal Dojo hosted a VIP bare knuckle boxing event on the beach in Phuket and it is fair to say that the fighters weren’t the only ones getting attention from the invitation only audience. There was a jacuzzi full of frolicking models located right next to the ring.

Fighters walking out to the ring were greeted by a spectacular view with the venue overlooking Kata Noi beach on Phuket’s south coast. They might also have been distracted by the jacuzzi full of models.

Diverse content

Full Metal Dojo initially started out as an MMA promotion, putting on events in nightclubs in Phuket and Bangkok. The likes of Amir Aliakbari and Loma Lookboonmee featured on some of these early fight cards.

But in recent years the company has diversified. These days it is best known for the Fight Circus cards that feature midget fights, phone box fights and siamese twin kickboxing bouts.

So putting on a bare knuckle boxing event by the beach is fairly tame by Full Metal Dojo standards. The card consisted of ten fights fought under regulation boxing rules but without the traditional gloves.

International cast

The card featured fighters from England, Wales, the US, Russia, Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar. UFC fans might have recognized one name, Will Chope fought once for the promotion losing to Max Holloway in Singapore in 2014.

For once Full Metal Dojo promoter Jon Nutt did not get involved. He went viral after the most recent event with his wild fight with two much smaller Thai opponents being immortalized in numerous memes.

Phuket was hit hard by the pandemic with beach resorts like Kata virtually deserted as the country shut its borders. But life in Thailand has long since returned to normal.

In Jon Nutt’s world that means fights with unconventional rules in exotic venues with scantily clad models. Last night’s BKB 30 show clearly ticked all of those boxes.
