Six more matchups have been added to the Bellator Japan card. The latest batch of bouts to be announced includes a welterweight clash between Lorenz Larkin and Keita Nakamura.
Larkin (21-7) is riding a three fight Bellator winning streak into the December 29th event which is set for the Saitama Super Arena. Meanwhile Nakamura (35-10-2) is coming off an impressive win at Rizin 19.
In the flyweight division Kana Watanabe (8-0-1) will put her undefeated record on the line against Ilara Joanne (9-4). The Brazilian has won her last three and will be representing Bellator while the Japanese fighter is contracted to Rizin.
In the lightweight division Brazilian Bellator veteran Goiti Yamauchi (24-4) takes on Rizin’s own Daron Cruickshank (22-12). The latter has lost two on the trot while the former is coming off back to back wins.
Haruo Ochi (19-7-2-1) meets Jared Brooks (15-2-1) in a 52kgs rematch. Ryuichiro Sumimura (14-7) faces Jon Tuck (10-5) in the welterweight division and Andy Nguyen (6-8) takes on Ai Shimizu (5-1) in a super atomweight fight.
As previously announced Bellator Japan will be headlined by a heavyweight fight between Fedor Emelianenko and Quinton Jackson, two fighters who made their name competing in the country during the Pride era.
Benson Henderson and Michael Chandler will rematch in a 160lbs catchweight contest that co-headlines Bellator’s first event in Asia.
