The interim flyweight title will be on the line when champion Yoshiro Maeda faces challenger Ryuya Fukuda. In the lightweight division reigning champion Yuki Kawana will be defending his title against Shutaro Debana.
Kawana (15-4-5) had an unsuccessful stint with the PFL in 2018, losing three fights out of three. He bounced back to beat Yuki Okano at Shooto 0127 last year.
He won the title in 2017, stopping Hiroki Aoki with a right uppercut. It was his third time challenging for the belt. He had lost and drawn the previous two title bouts.
Debana (5-2) is a submission specialist who features regularly at Quintet Fight Night. The 35 year old started MMA relatively late in life, making his pro debut in 2017.
He won two fights out of two in 2019, stopping Hiroki Aoki at Shooto 1124 and claiming a decision win over Yutaka Ueda at Shooto 0630.
Maeda (38-17-5) is a former Deep bantamweight champion and also challenged for the WEC 135lbs title in 2008. The 38 year old has won four out of his last five fights.
Fukuda (11-5-1) is 11 years younger than Maeda. He is coming off back to back Shooto wins and will be fighting for a title for the first time in his career.
Also on the card is a battle between top strawweight contenders with Ryosuke Honda (5-1-1) set to face off with Yohei Kamake (6-4). The latter is coming off an unsuccessful title shot at Shooto 0126 earlier this year.
The event will also feature a featherweight fight between Go Minamide (10-5-1) and Kenta Hattori (3-3-1). The former will be looking to rebound from back to back losses while the former will be looking for his second Shooto win of the year.
