Two Filipinos will be back in action at Lumpinee Stadium tomorrow. Carlos Alvarez and Dave Bangguigui have both been booked for ONE Friday Fights 43.

The weekly events in Bangkok have given Team Lakayโ€™s new generation of fighters an opportunity to compete on the international stage. Alvarez hasย been two of the main beneficiaries.

Alvarez (4-0) has already won three fights out of three at Lumpinee Stadium this year. All his wins have come on the ground and inside the distance, last time out he submitted Phruethukorn Chaichongcharden at ONE Friday Fights 36.

This Friday he has been matched with Nachin Sat (2-2), a Mongolian who is based in Russia. Another win for the Filipino featherweight would surely secure him an official contract offer from ONE Championship.

Bangguigui (9-2) fights out of Fight Corps MMA in Baguio. Like Alvarez he won his first three fights at Lumpinee Stadium this year, even scoring a decision win over experienced BJJ black belt Marcus Paulo Amaral at ONE Friday Fights 14.

Bangguigui suffered his first loss in over eight years when he was stopped by undefeated Uzbek Sanzhar Zakirov at ONE Friday Fights 42. The Filipino will be looking to get back on track when he faces Ryosuke Honda in a strawweight bout.

Honda (11-3-1) has been competing in Deepโ€™s flyweight division and has been in with some of the top 125lbers in Japan. He has faced the likes of Ryohei Kurosawa, Ryuya Fukuda, Yuki Ito and Haruo Ochi and has been preparing for this fight at Tiger Muay Thai.
