Vietnamese flyweight An Ho scored one of the most devastating KO wins of 2022 last weekend. The 21 year old needed just 14 seconds to finish opponent Matt Barro with a head kick at LFA 135.

Ho improves his record to 2-0 with the win which will be being replayed for years to come. As Barro pressed forwards and ducked down, presumably looking for a take down, he knocked him unconscious with a jumping counter right kick.

Winning record

An Ho has quite the record. He made his amateur debut back in 2018 and won seven fights out of seven before turning pro with six of those wins coming inside the distance.

His professional career could not have got off to much more of an impressive start. The 20 year old won his LFA debut with a spinning back fist in January.

Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any footage available of that fight. But the head kick which he won with last weekend was seen and heard all around the world.

Top team

An Ho was born in Vietnam and represents the country when he fights. He trains at the MMA Lab in Arizona which is home to the likes of Benson Henderson, Johnny Case and Sean O’Malley.

According to the commentators the odds on An Ho’s opponent were +1000 which suggests this was a fight he was always going to win. But no-one could have predicted the Vietnamese flyweight would do it in such spectacular style.

An Ho was just 18 when he made his amateur debut which suggests he has experience which goes well beyond his years. He definitely looks likes one to watch and having fought on the prelims last weekend should have earned a spot on the main card next time he competes for LFA.

Bigger and better things could await the 21 year old. Vietnamese American Thanh Le currently holds the ONE Championship featherweight title and will be defending it next month.

An Ho could definitely have put himself in contention for a ONE Championship contract with this performance.
