During her career as a porn star Nong Natt was the consummate professional. But last night the 37 year old engaged in some amateur action as she made her Muay Thai debut.
Kesarin Chaichalermpol, better known as Nong Natt, didn’t seem big on using protection during her previous career. But she wore head gear and shin pads during the two round bout with model Ammy Maxim.

Hard shots
As you can see from the photo neither fighter took any hard shots to the face during the three minute contest. It consisted mostly of the two ladies trying to kick each other in the leg at the same time.
Nong Natt had boxing legend Khaosai Galaxy in her corner but didn’t throw many punches. She threw a barrage of body kicks at the start of the round which mainly found fresh air.
For her part Ammy was adept at blocking her opponent’s low kicks. Both ladies kept their guard low, at around the chest area, which may or may not have been a deliberate decision.
Having exchanged soft blows for an entire 90 seconds the two ladies were given a five minute break. Audience members were interviewed and one of them declared that his friend had seen ‘all of their movies’.

Trading kicks
They traded more kicks at the start of the second round. Ammy was trying to mix up her attacks with straight punches but couldn’t close the range, which meant that they invariably landed a long way short of her opponent’s head.
She did keep Nong Natt on her toes by throwing in the occasional straight punch to the midsection but none of them connected cleanly. After such a close contest there was a tense wait while the judges tabulated their scorecards.
Nong Natt claims to have been training in Muay Thai for more than a decade. For her part Ammy admitted to have done just three days training.
But despite the supposed gulf in experience there was nothing to choose between the two fighters and the bout was declared a draw. Fortunately someone had the foresight to bring two winner’s trophies just in case this particular outcome occurred.
