Wondergirl Jaroonsakgym will be back in action soon by the sounds of it. Underneath a recent Instagram post she told a fan that her next fight was signed and sealed.

Wondergirl has not fought since her submission win over Zeba Bano at ONE 157 last May. But it sounds like fans waiting to see the photogenic Thai strawweight in action could be in for some good news.

She declared in the Instagram comments underneath her latest post that,

CRAZY fight contract SIGNED 🥰🙏🏽 STAY TUNED!!

Top contender

ONE Championship’s strawweight MMA division has not exactly been busy in recent months. Meng Bo has emerged as arguably the #1 contender after beating Dayane Cardoso in her first fight at the weight.

Wondergirl is also coming off a win. However whereas Bo was already a veteran of over 25 fights, the vast majority of which have been in the atomweight division, the That only made her pro debut last year.

Wondergirl is currently back in Bangkok. She is training at her family’s Jaroonsak Gym which suggests she could be preparing for a Muay Thai or kickboxing bout.

Multiple sports

Before that she was based at Southside MMA in Phuket. It isn’t clear whether Wondergirl has moved back to Bangkok to prepare for a fight or is just visiting her family there.

Wondergirl was awarded a blue belt in BJJ in 2021. She could conceivably compete for ONE Championship in either kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA or submission grappling although she might need a little more experience before testing herself in the latter sport.

So when Wondergirl says she has signed up for a ‘crazy fight’ the possibilities are limitless. ONE Championship has even put on mixed rules bouts in the past, although only two of them have ever been booked.

In the first Demetrious Johnson submitted Rodtang in the second round at ONE: ‘X’. The most recent pitted Anissa Meksen against Stamp Fairtex at ONE Fight Night 6 but the French fighter pulled out at the last minute.

Wondergirl definitely has a fight booked. We don’t know who she will be facing or what the ruleset will be but fans will be excited to see the 24 year old back in action after a long layoff.
