Yoshinori Horie won’t need to do sex work to make ends meet in 2024. The UFC veteran is booked to headline Rizin’s first card of the year when he faces Luis Gustavo in Saga this Saturday.
Horie famously admitted to performing a sex act on a man to try and make a bit of extra cash when he was struggling as an up and coming mixed martial artist. He is coming off a decision win over fellow UFC veteran Spike Carlyle at Rizin 44.
Horie (13-4) could put himself in contention for a title shot with another win at Rizin Landmark 8 on Saturday. His bantamweight bout with Gustavo serves as the main event at the Saga Arena.
Gustavo (12-2) has been competing in Japan since 2018. He has won his last three and is coming off a decision win over Koji Takeda at Rizin Landmark 5.

Late replacement
The co-main event is a bantamweight bout between a seasoned veteran and a rising star. Masakazu Imanari (39-22-2) is about as experienced as they come and steps in as a late replacement to take on Kazumasa Majima.
Majima (16-4) is coming off back to back wins and had originally been scheduled to take on Vugar Karamov. Instead he finds himself matched with the 48 year old leg lock specialist.
Another late change to the card sees Saori Oshima (12-4) step in to replace Ayaka Hamasaki. She will be taking on Claire Lopez (8-5) in a super atomweight bout.
